Good myth , that the women police are for mumbai women’s protection . One sees their true colours when one goes to a police station to file a FIR. .. and how they team up with the other “ Sakha “ police .. instead of trying to see a women and being there for them as support. These “ Sakhi’s ” probably have their own insecurities at work and have to toe the line to keep up with their peers in the rat race and are expected to stand as a team. .. eventually defeating the purpose of having them for women ! So they also forget for what they’re were recruited for .. Would love to know which “ sakhi “ helps a women .. when the police system as a whole is slowly collapsing in our ever busy overpopulated bursting at the seams city of mumbai.
