You will have to be empathetic towards them and understand how its not them but physical symptoms creating more anger and irritation, see them as your child and before you react be kind towards them as if you are dealing with your child

Make them comfortable. Conflict is normal at all ages with generation gap. Its the communication style that plays the most important role in resolving or aggravating the conflict. Talk their way, talk in their style, talk in their tone, talk in a way that is understood by them. Refect to their actions. Be your true self. Convey your heart out transparently to parents.. Sooner or later they will understand. Don't try or look for instant responses. Give them some time to analyse n respond. Hope it made some sense to you sweets
