I feel like I don't fit into any of the stereotypes about women. Society tells us how to act, dress, and even think, but what if I don't check any of those boxes? Is it okay to be different, or am I doomed to be an outcast forever? How do we find our place in the world when we don't fit the mold?

Hello , There’s no definitive to true and real beauty these norms are just set by society. No bible or any mythological book tells if you don’t match the societal boxes you’re deviant or outgroup . Embrace yourself with confidence All the best 🌸

Can an Indian divorcee girl age 32 get married again? @Relationshipcoachchitkala
Why not? But be aware to avoid doing the same mistakes which you had done in first marriage. Try to first find what you want in your partner? clear your expectations with your partner first. Even listen to his. Then decide to marry to him or not.
Ofcourse! Why not?

Is it really tough as a single woman (separated, divorced, widowed, unmarried) in India? Can you share your experiences, both pleasant or unpleasant? @Zanzanil

Hey @Zanzanil My sister recently got divorced. Being an engineer she was treated like a slave, she tried to make it work for one whole year, you just can't believe what she went through… In spite of being intelligent, beautiful and well-educated, she was afraid to leave that hell just thinking of what people would think about her. Why is divorce still a taboo for women in India? Even though the husband physically abuses her, society expects women to adjust. Why?
Anonymous9d
This is something I ask my self everytime something like this happens. But I guess India is now progressing too and having convos about this taboo
We have been conditioned as a society that divorce is bad, that it is the women's responsibility to adapt to the new people and husband and make her marrige work. In case of a divorce, it is mostly said that the girl is at fault. So, we need to break free from this kind of regressive thinking and give a message to all the girls, that it is OK to separate if you basic human rights are violated in a marriage.

Hey girls, have you ever wondered why it's always us asking to tie a rakhi? Why don't boys need our protection? Are we really seen as incapable of defending ourselves? What do you think?
Girls are usually more emotional and under the influence of moon, so, however, strong via, we still want someone to love us and protect us. That’s why usually girls hierarchy.
I agree with you, sometimes I also get this thought. I guess we can't change it as it is in our culture that has been going on for ages now.

I'm so tired of Indian men putting Russian women on a pedestal and claiming they are the "ideal wives." If Russian culture produces such perfect marriages, then why are the divorce rates there so high? As an Indian woman, it's frustrating to constantly hear we are inferior while data shows relationships fail everywhere. I wish men would open their eyes to reality instead of buying into these misogynistic stereotypes. @RC_Mayanka

Yes I definitely agree with you. But what can we do to change this perception. I feel we are helpless.

I am 17 (F). Absolutely terrified to come out to my parents. I'm financially dependent on them for my studies. What if they kick me out? Are there any resources for financially independent queer women in India?
You can try at Hamsafar trust. Humsafar Trust is one of India's oldest organisations that has been advocating for the rights and the health of LGBTQ+ individuals in India since 1993. Twice every month, they host meet-ups and workshops to bring the community together and socialise. Apart from this, the good folks at Humsafar also provide legal and psychological aid to those in distress. In cases of extortion, blackmail, or to help you through the 'coming out' phase, these are the people you can trust without any qualms. They conduct a bunch of workshops as well so do keep a check on their social media handles and website for the same. This is the photo from there website Only.

My family keeps pressuring me to get married, but the thought of being with a man terrifies me. I'm not even sure how to tell them I like girls. Any tips for young queer women dealing with societal expectations in India?
Hii dear It can be daunting to share your feelings with family, but it's crucial because it's your life, and you need to speak up. You can also handle this situation by expressing that you have many aspirations in life and simply need a bit more time
Na_Dia17d
I understand, it's difficult to deal with such situation. You must do one thing, there will be anyone in your family who will be more close to you. Try to speak to that person first and see reaction. Then go forward
